Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I bake the cookie dough?

A: Yes! While creating our amazing cookie dough, Jennifer kept in mind that it would be nice if our customers had the choice to either finish their dough at home or bake cookies. Our cookie dough will remain fresh in the fridge for 3 months or the freezer for 4 months, so feel free to take some home and continue to enjoy the dough!

Baking instructions:

  1. Scoop cookie dough and place on parchment paper
  2. Place in freezer for 5-10 minutes
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  4. Bake 12-15 minutes. The best of both worlds is a reality!

Q: How is the dough safe to eat?

A: There are 2 ingredients in traditional cookie dough that could possibly make you sick, eggs and flour. We DO NOT use eggs and the flour is heat treated. The heat process has killed any potentially harmful bacteria, so enjoy the dough with a peace of mind!

Q: I have an idea for a new flavor; how can I let you know?

A: We always want to hear from our customers, especially the ones that love Georgia as much as we do! If you have an idea for a flavor for our dough you can email us at Jennifer@alumnicookiedough.com.

Q: Does Alumni Cookie Dough Franchise?

A: We are currently not offering franchises, but have just signed a licensing agreement with Knuckies Hoagies out of Milton, Ga to allow their franchises(including in future Walmarts) to also have an alumni cafe in their stores. We will soon have more information on all that on our website, but if you have an interest, you can go ahead and see Knuckies franchise page;

Stay tuned for more on this exciting development!

Q: What are your hours?

A: Alumni hours vary by location and season. Please visit the "Locations" page on this website to see details and updated hours for your desired Alumni Cookie Dough cafe!

A 50% deposit is required to reserve a date and time. A full refund of the initial 50% deposit is available if the event is cancelled 10 or more business days prior to the event. Q: What is your Allergy Disclaimer?

We do our best to serve our valued customers with gluten, peanut and dairy allergies. Our dough is freshly prepared in a small kitchen (not a big factory with segregated production lines) and all of our dough is free of eggs (except Chocolate Lovers has egg whites in the brownie bites). We offer Gluten Friendly and Vegan Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip. We do not add any milk to our products; however butter does contain milk, except for the Vegan options. We do our best to separate the doughs that contain nuts. We use a separate milkshake spinner with doughs containing nuts and make doughs containing nuts at a separate time. We also keep our Gluten and Vegan Dough in the back kitchen to lessen cross contamination. With this being said, particles of flour and nuts are present in the kitchen and dining area. We will always try our best, but cannot guarantee any of our food is allergen-free. We will be happy to share with you at anytime the ingredients we use and the ingredients are listed on our website in the Flavors section. Please feel free to ask us any questions, thank you so much!

Flavors – Alumni Cookie Dough

Q: Do you offer Gluten Friendly and Vegan options?

A: Yes! We are pleased to offer Vegan and Gluten-Friendly options. The Vegan Chocolate Chip is made with plant-based butter that contains vegan chocolate chips! Our Gluten-Friendly Oatmeal Cookie is mixed with Gluten Free ingredients instead of flour and made in a designated mixer to lower cross contamination. We also keep these flavors seperated in a refrigerator to further lower the risk of cross contamination. While we do our very best to keep in mind these dietary restrictions, please know that our dough is created and mixed in a facility that contains nuts.

Q: Do you donate to local charities or participate in fundraisers?

A: Yes, we at Alumni Cookie Dough pride ourselves with being involved with our community and reaching out whenever we can. Alumni's charitable platform emphasizes partnering with organizations active in the Athens' area whose primary goals is benefiting the lives of the people right here in our area. WE offer a lucrative fundraising program for charitable organization, schools and other civic groups; see our Fundraising tab in this website for additional details. We are so excited to be involved and have aligned ourselves with Extra Special People and CURE Childhood Cancer, to name just a couple! Ideally, we would love to be involved with every organization and fundraiser, but due to the high volume of requests we receive, we are not able to respond to every single one, but will do our very best. Thank you so much for reaching out. Please fill out the form below and bring it by Alumni Cookie Dough if requesting a donation. Thank you!
